The client approached Omedia with the task of developing its website and ticket sales management software. Their legacy system for selling tickets was designed to work only at points of sale, at their offices as was not able to integrate with external sale providers, including Vanilla Sky’s own website.
The challenge was to create a custom system for managing, selling, and printing airline tickets that will work for both — their ticket offices and for the public website where users could purchase tickets online. The final result is a robust centralized platform that implements the entire ticketing flow, from flight planning to admission control and refunds.
